Ṗolisfonia is an educational format through which Sonic Practices (the creative interaction with sound as means of discovery, learning and expression) are explored as creative educational tools with the purpose of stimulating political dialogue between young people in the public space, generating engaging and inclusive spaces and chances of political expression and participation.
Ṗolisfonia is an educational format in which Sonic Practices are explored as tools to facilitate political dialogue between young people in the public space.
The ṗolisfonia zine is a small collaborative magazine made of folded A3 paper, that functions as a documentation diary of ṗolisfonia workshops. Each time a ṗolisfonia workshop is enacted, a new page is created by merging pictures, drawings and writings produced by participants during the activities, with additional content reflecting and re-elaborating the emerged political themes written by the project facilitator(s).
In their unfolded form, individual pages feature a poster on one side and a variety of content (such as overall information on the project, reflections on the political themes emerged, sonic exercises to experiment with, guidelines and DIY manuals, etc.) on the other.
The first issue of the magazine features highlights of the first ṗolisfonia workshop cycle (Sonic Assembly, Above the Lines, Musical Body, Sound Futures).
