Sustainable Fashion Consumption Symposium

On 19th June 2017, at the Institute of Sustainable Management, the University of Ulm in southern Germany, there is one day interdisciplinary Sustainable Fashion Consumption Symposium aiming ‘to bridge the gap between the niche of sustainable fashion and everyday fashion consumption’. Topic include collaborative fashion consumption, fashion librairies, renting/leasing/swapping/exchanging fashion products, co-creation and presumption, and innovative business models. Keynote speakers are Prof. Kirsi Niinimäki, Aalto University, Finland; Prof. Ines Weller, Bremen University and Mr Rolf Heimann, HessNatur GmbH, Germany; Prof. Elke Schüssler, Johannes Kepppler Univesity, Linz, Austria; and Prof. Alastair Fuad-Luke, the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy and founder member of Agents of Alternatives. A panel discussion, led by Nina Lorenzen, will focus on “Sustainable fashion consumption – a viable future pathway or only a myth?“
